Since 1823, the house, which is one of the oldest buildings in the city, has been a gastronomic home for everyone; and since 1907 it has been known as the Zipfer Bierhaus. Therefore, the Zipfer Bierhaus is considered to be one of the oldest inns in the center of Salzburg.

This is not the only reason why we consider it our gastronomic task to value genuine pub culture as a heritage and to keep it alive authentically as a timeless tradition. Far from kitsch, which is inflationary available in a tourist city like Salzburg, we therefore appreciate the value of the special all the more.   

The Zipfer Bierhaus stands for down-to-earth quality, good Austrian cuisine and offers a wide selection of beers. In the warm seasons, there is also a guest garden available, from which you can watch the lively market hustle and bustle on Universitätsplatz.
