Keltenmuseum Hallein

Meet the Celts, experience city history

The Celtic Museum Hallein is one of the largest museums of Celtic history in Europe. The combination of burial grounds, settlement areas and the salt mining on Dürrnberg is exceptional for the Iron Age. The absolute highlight: the 2,500-year-old Celtic beak can. In addition, three prince rooms (1756) and numerous objects to the history Hallein are to be seen. Offers for children make the visit an experience for the whole family.

Since 1 January 2012, the Celtic Museum Hallein is under the umbrella of the Salzburg Museum (www.salzburgmuseum.at) as part of a management and cooperation agreement.
